When I set out to make a trimmed down version of Goodman’s Rune Library on the Atlantic Shard I figured it would be awesome to have a little library of my own. And every time I go to Goodman’s I’m absolutely overwhelmed not only by the shear number of books but the haphazardness of it all. It seems organized until you start diving into it. There is *just barely* an attempt to make it understandable to stranger. Let alone a new player to Ultima Online. (Yes! They do exist!)
So here we are, surely with the advent of Runic Atlas’s (Multi page runebooks) and some organization and back checking for duplicates we can downsize this library to something manageable by a medium sized house.
Downsize? What’s getting cut?! We don’t need the Beaches of Trammel. We don’t need The West Brit Armory listed in the Blacksmith’s of Trammel book AND the Armourer’s of Trammel book. As a matter of fact, we don’t need these to be two separate books. They can all be listed in one book under Blacksmiths of Trammel, or Smiths of Trammel. Whatever you want. Point being I think we can cut this library to at least 30% if we cut out unnecessary duplicates(some duplicates are necessary…if one building is a bank and a jeweler) and places that serve no actual purpose. I don’t care about the Docks of Trammel. What I do care about is the Fishmongers of Trammel. Things like that.
So here we go. Starting a blog in 2025…stupid. Investing time in Ultima Online ONCE again, for the hundred millionth time, hopefully I don’t lose everything again…stupid.
It could be worse…I could be on drugs or addicted to prostitutes or something. (No judgement!)
